Our Stance toward Privacy Protection

Yamaichi Special Steel, Co., Ltd. (“the company”), as part of its efforts to protect personal information, has established the following privacy policy and created a mechanism to protect personal information, and endeavors to fully ingrain an awareness among all our employees of the importance of safeguarding personal information.

Management of Personal Information

The company takes all measures necessary to keep personal information accurate and up to date, and to prevent unauthorized access, loss, damage, falsification, or leaks. Such measures include maintenance of security systems, continual improvement of management systems, and thorough training of employees. The company also has strict measures in place to ensure the safe management of personal information.

Purpose of Use of Personal Information

The company uses personal information for the purposes of sending emails and materials in the course of communicating with the individuals, notifying the individuals of matters pertaining to the company’s business, or responding to questions. The company shall not use personal information for anything beyond those purposes, and if it wishes to use such information for a purpose not initially disclosed, it shall notify the individuals whose personal information is involved and seek their approval to do so.

No Disclosure or Supply of Personal Information

The company shall administer personal information appropriately, and shall not disclose or supply personal information to third parties except in the following circumstances (excluding outsourcing).

The individual grants approval for his/her information to be disclosed or supplied to third parties.
The individual’s personal information is disclosed to contractors to whom the company outsources work in order to provide services the individual requests.
Disclosure is required by law.

Disclosing Personal Information

If an individual wishes to view, amend, or delete his/her personal information obtained by the company, the company shall first ascertain the identity of the individual presenting himself/herself as the individual before commencing procedures.

Compliance with Law; Review of Policy

The company shall comply with all laws of Japan and other conventions applicable to privacy protection, and shall revise and endeavor to improve this Privacy Policy as appropriate.
